Ryad Mogador Essaouira

Nice hotel for a very chilled out holiday in Essaouira.  We all had a wonderful experience at the Riad Mogador hotel, which was quite cheap for a 4 star establishment. The pool was huge and enjoyed constantly by me and my friends. A relaxing trip around the place eventually got us to the garden and the fountain, a good spot to let your mind at ease. But the low price had its “price” sort of speak. The rooms were not the best In the world and my friend Peter’s bathroom had a little bit of mold. I seriously hope they start the refurbishing, else they will lose a lot of customers. Breakfast was not much, go to Medina where there are plenty more options. All in all a good spot to crash, the décor and the area is superb, btu the building needs some renovating.

Sheraton Casablanca Hotel

A good commodity for Morocco, but it would only rank as average on a world chart. Surrounded by the city’s major sights, amazing beachfront, palm-lined boulevards, and the shopping and business district, nothing really stands out when you think about the facilities, but nothing much to complain about either. The Japanese restaurant offers some pretty good meals, the gym and the club are quite a good way to unwind at the end of the day. The pool used to have a bit of a pigeon maintenance problem, as the birds would mess up the premises; but it has recently been solved. The staff is well trained and handles all issues in a very professional way. All in all it is a good spot to camp out for a few days while in Cassablanca.

The supreme dining experience in Marrakech, at least for us it was. The Asian cuisine -mainly Thai- was delicious and very well prepared, the staff was very warm thoughout the serving of the meal and th atmosphere was just lovely.A DJ came and mixed some tunes all evening, while we were enjoying our cocktails on the comfy sofas.A bit overpriced though in terms of food quality, but it is worth the experience.
